Dea Theodore For County Council 6

My name is Dea Theodore and I want to be your new Salt Lake County Council, District 6 Representative. I have been a resident of District 6 for 20 years and truly enjoy living here. I am a wife and mother to two wonderful children. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Utah. I have been privileged to work part time at Canyons School District. I have served in numerous capacities throughout the years. I am currently a member of my children’s elementary school SCC. I am involved with an open space committee in Sandy with a focus on QH Park. In addition I am proud to serve as a Republican State Delegate. My family and I are avid skiers and are regulars at Snowbird. I am also a trail runner and especially enjoy the beautiful trails in my district. As your Representative I will be available and approachable to all constituents, I will strive for 100% Council meeting attendance and I will be active in my district. In addition, I will approach the issues with common sense and in a fair and balanced manner. Let’s face it, residents all over the county are feeling the burden of more taxes. Each year it seems like we are challenged with some form of new tax. Although the county budget funds many great items, I will strive to be a watchdog for spending and avoid any tax increases.
