The **Social justice Committee of the Akron Area Interfaith Council** is hosting a **quilt sale fundraiser** to help cover costly legal fees for immigration cases, including visa renewals, asylum applications, and power of attorney filings. We’ve received **six beautiful, handmade quilts**, generously donated by a longtime quilter who learned the craft from her mother. All proceeds will go directly to families in need. **True Stories:** **Leona** has called this country home for over 20 years. She continues to pay to renew her work visa while striving to become a U.S. citizen—all while caring for her son with special needs. **Vilma** is seeking asylum after the murder of her brother in Guatemala.The family, here for 15 years from Honduras, have built a life through steady work and are raising two beautiful children.
