14th Annual AAIC Hunger Walk

For the past 14 years the Akron Area Interfaith Council has been proud to sponsor The Annual Hunger Walk to raise money to support the efforts of the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank.

 The most recent figures show that food insecurity is on the rise in Summit County with a rate among adults in Summit County at 13.8% of the total population. For children the rate is 19.1%.

In the past two years, with the pandemic bearing down on us, the food Bank remained open and continued to provide nutritious food with its extensive network of food pantries, hot meal sites and shelters throughout Summit County. Our goal is to raise as much money as we can to support the Food Bank in this most important work. 100% of all donations go directly to the FoodBank.

 We thank you for joining us as we all walk together toward the goal of stamping out hunger in our community.
