My name is Alisa Van Langeveld, your candidate running for State Senate in District 08 to replace Senator Todd Weiler (R). 

I’m running because Utahns deserve a more balanced state legislature. District 8 deserves a new voice and more moderate representation. I’m a North Salt Lake City Council member, a faculty member at the U of U, a community educator, and a mom.

I believe in family-centered policymaking, which means centering the impact on everyday families and not partisan loyalty or big business interests. I will prioritize Education, Air Quality, Healthcare, Housing, and preserving the Great Salt Lake.
