My name is **Alisa Van Langeveld**, your **candidate** running for **State Senate in District 08** to replace Senator Todd Weiler (R). 

I’m running because Utahns deserve a **more balanced state legislature**. District 8 deserves a **new voice** and **more moderate representation**. I’m a North Salt Lake City Council member, a faculty member at the U of U, a community educator, and a mom.

I believe in **family-centered policymaking**, which means centering the impact on everyday families and not partisan loyalty or big business interests. I will prioritize **Education**, **Air Quality**, **Healthcare**, **Housing**, and **preserving the Great Salt Lake**.
