Cook For Commissioner

I was raised and currently reside in Granbury. Im a proud Tolar graduate and have lived in Hood County the majority of my life. I have just celebrated my 5th anniversary with my wonderful wife, Megan and she has blessed me with two great kiddos Caroline (2) and Steven (4). This is my 7th year in Real Estate, 6th as a Realtor. I have been voted Best of Hood County the last three years, which is the most humbling thing that has ever happened to me. In my career as a Realtor, I have strived to help the profession in which I love by serving Granbury Association of Realtors as a Director for 3 years, 1 year served as Governmental Affairs Chair for the Association, and also served 2 years on the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems Board of Directors as both a class A Director and Shareholder, which consist of almost 40,000 realtors. In my pursuit of trying to help those in my community, I currently serve as the Vice President for the Hood County Children’s Charity Fund, as a Director on the Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center board, and I am actively involved in Granbury Kiwanis Club. In the past I have served on the Executive Board of Preserve Granbury, the Executive Board of Hood County Child Welfare Board and Kash for Kids. I am a member of the Granbury Camber of Commerce and the Granbury Kiwanis Club. As far as political involvement, I have fought strongly for private property rights. I was successful in helping lead the opposition against the Upper Trinity Ground Water District proposed five acre minimum tract size. I helped organize two Property Tax seminars in which I provided complementary comparable sales. I also was an organizer of the grassroots movement to try and stop the City of Granbury’s forced annexation of which we garnered over 600 electronic signatures and over 300 physical signatures. I have been so very fortunate to call Hood County home. I hope to have the ability to lead as Pct 1 County Commissioner and be able to protect private property rights.
