Jena Mabrey for Northville School Board

Like many of you, my family chose to make Northville our home because of the amazing reputation of the Northville Public Schools. As a passionate healthcare professional, devoted community and school volunteer, and mother of two elementary aged children, I am fiercely committed to furthering the academic excellence of our public schools and providing world-class opportunities for our students. 

My diverse professional and personal experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to lead with integrity, listen with empathy, and work in partnership with others to improve outcomes for Northville’s children. My efforts include organizing a coalition of more than 70 parents to advocate for smaller elementary class sizes in conversations with administrators, school board members and state legislators. I will bring that same spirit of collaboration, dedication, and problem solving to the School Board.

As a member of the Northville Public Schools Board of Education: 

• I will dedicate myself to advancing our district’s high academic standards.
• I will promote transparency and improved communication.
• I will maintain a fiscally responsible budget.
• I will encourage and empower teachers to determine curricula, with input from parents.
• I will recommend school safety and mental health is properly resourced and funded.

I know I cannot accomplish these goals alone, and I’m immensely appreciative of the countless volunteers, community members, parents, teachers, staff members, and school leaders who work every day to ensure our students have the highest quality public education. 

I humbly ask that you support my campaign and join me in working toward even greater achievements for our schools. Donations will be used to engage voters in this critical election and share more about what we hope to accomplish.
