DJ DORAN FOR MAYOR

I am not a politician. I do not have any prior political experience, nor do I have name recognition in the Chicago political circles, but I count that as an advantage and not a detriment. My message to fellow Chicagoans will be simple, I am one of YOU. I am just a regular citizen who is fed up with crime, lawlessness, fiscal mismanagement, divisiveness, and poor leadership by the current Mayor and her administration, that is why I am running.

As a husband, father and grandfather my family and I have grown to love this city and all that it has to offer. Chicago has been our home since 2009 but, over the last few years we have watched as crime has skyrocketed, taxes soared and the quality of life decline. When someone challenged me to stop complaining and get off of the sidelines, get involved and become part of the change I wanted to see, I acted.

My campaign is about everyday people who have felt powerless against the powerful, manipulated by the agendas of our leaders, and ignored by those elected to serve our interests.

I will appeal to those like me, that believe Chicago can be more than a poster child of urban violence and corruption, but instead be an example of what other cities can aspire to.

I know it will not be easy to compete with and win against career politicians and life-long bureaucrats, but I am up to the challenge.

With your help I will bring real change to Chicago that makes life better, safer and more prosperous for ALL Chicagoans.
