Hello neighbors and friends of North Myrtle Beach!


I’m Dr. David Weitzman MD, a local physician who lives and works right here in our city. My wife, my two daughters, our adopted grandparents, and many of our friends all call North Myrtle Beach home. Our medical office is here, and I’m grateful for the chance to serve this community every day.


I believe our city is moving in the wrong direction. Our government, our community, and the City Council aren’t communicating clearly enough, and we’re not working together as effectively as we can.


I’m running for At-Large City Council to fix that, with three clear priorities:

  1. Open, transparent communication so we’re all looking at the same information and making decisions together.
  2. Move beyond a beach-town mindset and grow a diversified, stable economy with good jobs for families.
  3. Leverage the infrastructure we already have to attract clean industry and high-tech jobs along the inland corridor, with smart development that respects neighborhoods.


With these steps, we can build a North Myrtle Beach that supports families, local businesses, and a vibrant future for everyone.
