Send Dustin to the Salt Lake County Council

I’m running for Salt Lake County Council because our progressive community needs a defender. I’ve spent six years leading my community on the Midvale City Council, and I want to bring my passion for progress and thirst for change to the whole county.

I moved to Utah with my partner and our family of dogs and quickly realized that I needed to work hard to protect the community I love. Six years ago, I defeated an incumbent council member to become one of only eight LGBTQ-elected officials in Utah. I did it by standing strong on progressive values, focusing on the issues that mattered to my community, and out-working the competition. Then I went on to win re-election in my moderate district with 75% of the vote in 2021.

I have tirelessly represented the interests of my constituents and provided common-sense leadership by taking a problem-solving approach to issues like walkability, responsible development, and government transparency. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for everyone in Salt Lake County.
