Elect Arlene Anderson for Ogden City School Board District 1

I am ready to represent ALL of District 1 and the students and parents of Ogden City School District. I am a long-time resident of Ogden City. I attended Ogden City Schools and am a graduate of Ben Lomond High School. I pursued higher education at Weber State University where I earned a Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy. I initiated my career as a clinician and through perseverance have worked my way up the corporate ladder to my current role as Clinical Portfolio Manager working in the Healthcare IT Industry. I also received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. However, my most gratifying role is that of Mom. I am a single parent of two children. I have a confident daughter who will be graduating in 2021 from Ben Lomond High School. My son is at Weber State University in the computer programming program. I am passionate about education and advocating for those who feel they do not have a voice or who are underrepresented. I am currently President of the BLHS Booster Club and a member of the BLHS Community Council. You can find me in the stands cheering on my daughter and supporting the athletics program and clans or at concessions, fundraising. I volunteer on many committees in my community to promote civic engagement. I will bring innovative ideas and empower parents and students to be more engaged. For those that know me, I have integrity and promote mutual respect. I also believe in our children and their future. I am a true believer of the "Si Se Puede" motto to encourage ALL of our children to graduate from high school and pursue higher education or technical studies. I speak Spanish and hope to reach a higher audience to expand engagement and representation within the Ogden School Board and the Ogden City School District.
