Sick of Keys local interests being thrown aside for the sake of what the current Commissioners feel is in our best interest as a County?

My top concerns and priorities include:

Stop Excessive Development:

  • Protecting hurricane evacuation models backed by science, traffic studies, and research. Putting the safety of our residents over special interest favoritism. Keeping our infrastructure up to current needs before adding more undue stress.

Fiscal Responsibility:

  • Reduce County Budget taxes by 20% but cutting unnecessary spending. This also will reduce the cost of living expenses for those that do not have or qualify for Homestead Exemptions (i.e. renters).

Innovative Solutions to the Workforce Housing Crisis:

  • Amp up illegal short term vacation rental compliance (Arbnbs, VRBOs, etc) which will both benefit the local hotel/resort community, and also make it harder for companies to buy property in the Keys to turn them into cash cows in areas not zoned for vacation rentals. Create a local workforce housing compliance department that coordinates with the State, independent of the developers or entities building the workforce housing projects.

Listen to the Needs of Our Citizens:

  • Ask for continual feedback from the community at large, and act quickly to address citizen concerns.

The maximum amount an individual or entity may contribute is $1,000 per election. Your contribution (up to $1,000) will be designated for the primary election.

The next $1,000 will be designated for the general election.

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contribution exceeds $200 in an election cycle.
