Our Children, Our Schools, Our Future! Of the things that we as citizens own in common- schools are our most important commonwealth. I'm a product of the Little Rock School District, where I received a world class education. Every child deserves that opportunity. I have been a consistent advocate for our children for 20 years. I've stood with community members, teachers and other district professionals on the front line against the divestment from and the corporatization of public education. I'm committed- still - to work with parents, students, educators and otherwise committed members of our communities to make our schools work for everyone. I'm running to contribute to a district that gave me so much. I'm running to insist FROM THE ROSTRUM - that we stop cold the divestment from traditional public schools, that we resource our schools equitably, that we affirm the professionals in our schools and recognize their right(s) to collaborate with us and to collectively bargain, that we affirm and educate ALL children in ALL schools in word and in deed and in policy. Our children matter, our future hangs in the balance and that future matters. Thank you to those of you who donated already. It is greatly appreciated.
