Erika Larsen for Senate District 6

As a young candidate, I have the opportunity to bring a unique perspective to the Utah legislature. It has not been long since I was moving every year, from apartment to apartment, to avoid ever-growing rent increases. I am not far removed from being worried about how I was going to pay rent, pay my utilities, AND buy groceries in the same month. I’ve been in the position where I had to weigh the necessity of going to the doctor when sick or injured against the cost of such a visit to determine if my physical health was worth it. Combined with this experience, I also have the unique understanding of how implementing laws and policy can effect sound and positive change for our communities. As a lawyer, I spend all day working in an environment wherein the black and white codes affect people’s personal and professional lives on a daily basis. I’m excited about the opportunity to combine these varied experiences to help make a difference in the everyday lives of my community members. As a fierce advocate and a compassionate community member, I hope to join the Utah Senate and get to work helping my fellow residents of Taylorsville and West Jordan. But I'm going to need your help.
