Evan is a former undercover CIA officer and chief policy director in Congress, who ran for president in 2016 as an independent. Evan is uniting a cross-partisan coalition of Democrats, independents and Republicans to defeat far-right Sen. Mike Lee. The Utah Democratic Party voted to endorse Evan and join his cross-partisan coalition, making this a 2-way race. Recent polling shows this race is neck and neck, with Evan well-positioned to win in November. This is one of the most watched Senate races in the country.
