Join the Common Sense Party (a member of the Forward Party Alliance) at this one-of-a-kind event full of drinks, delights, and democracy!
The Common Sense Party is here to build a new era in American politics. For too long, we’ve seen the two-party system focus on short-sighted political posturing instead of doing the work they were elected to do for the American people. It’s time to bring a fresh perspective and build a new kind of political party that finds common sense solutions that work for all of us. Join us in Los Angeles to learn more and meet hundreds of your fellow forward-thinking Californians.
Just $5 gets you drinks, food, games, swag, and more!
And if you bring items on the list in the FAQ to donate to the Downtown Women's Center of LA, honored as 2020 California Nonprofit of the Year by Sen. Holly Mitchell, tickets are only $3.
Doors open at 4pm | Event begins at 5pm.
Now is the time to modernize our politics and break the status quo. We’re coming to listen, share, inspire, and be inspired!
Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP today.
FAQs
What items can I bring to donate?
Women's underwear, bras, sport bras, backpacks, rain ponchos, umbrellas, coats/jackets, gloves, lotion, deodorant, body wash, and new or lightly used shoes. You can bring these items to the venue where we'll have a donation collection bin at the event.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 4 PM. The event starts promptly at 5 PM.
What is the purpose of this event?
To get to know you, California! The Common Sense Party stands for doing, not dividing. But getting things done starts with getting to know the people and listening to the communities we hope to serve. This event serves as our initial way to listen to you and for you to get to know us!
What will speakers be saying?
We won't be boring you with typical political speeches - the event is largely to have fun and learn from and interact with the community. In fact, we will only have a few speakers and each will come to the event with a different perspective on why and how they believe the Common Sense Party is playing an important role in California politics.
Is this event kid-friendly?
Yes, in fact all kids 17 and under are free. Please bring your family and enjoy the games, music, and more!
How about my furry friends?
Yes, dogs are allowed at Common Space Brewery, so feel free to bring them along! We just ask that they be kept on a leash at all times.
Will food and drinks be provided?
Yes, food and drinks will be served during the event. And though it's a brewery, non-alcoholic drinks like sodas, lemonade, and water will also be available.
Will I get to meet Andrew Yang, the Honorable Christine Todd Whitman, the Honorable Tom Campbell, or other leaders and special guests?
Andrew, Christine, Tom and our special guests will be present and will often be circulating around the room. You will likely get the chance to meet them, but we are not able to guarantee direct access.
What should I bring?
Yourself and hope for the future! Leave backpacks and firearms at home. Neither will be allowed in the event venue for security reasons.
Do I need to bring I.D.?
No I.D. is required for admittance. However, if you anticipate consuming alcoholic beverages, you can expect I.D. to be required at the bars.
What should I wear?
This event is mostly indoors but there are additional outdoor spaces, so we recommend packing a light jacket for the evening hours and for after the event.
Is parking available on site?
There are 60 parking spaces available at the front of the venue and more parking on the street. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer validation or valet.
Can I attend just a portion of the event?
Yes. While we have exciting stuff planned throughout the 4-8 PM event, if you can’t stay for the full experience, we understand.
