Elect Michael White for Justice of Peace PCT 4 Nueces County

Michael White was born in San Antonio, and reared on the Southwest side of Town, graduating from John Jay High School. After his freshman year at the University of Texas at San Antonio, joined the United States Coast Guard Reserve, after completing Port Security School he was assigned to the Small Boat Station in Port Aransas. In the fall of 1990 Michael White was called to active duty in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  After the war he was assigned to the Corpus Christi Marine Safety Office, where he was responsible for inspecting the facilities and commercial vessels at the Port.

Returning home he resumed his education at the University of Texas and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 1993, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning/International Policy Administration in 1996.   Michael White also completed his teaching certificate in the Social Studies Composite and Government, went on to Coach Swimming at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, from 2000-2001 and  at Judson High School in Converse, Texas from 2001-2002.

Michael White then decided to attend Law School at Texas Tech University, graduating in 2005, and was then admitted the Texas Bar that fall. His legal career has been diverse; working as prosecutor, a private attorney, adjunct professor at the University of Texas San Antonio, and as a land man.   Michael White has prosecuted Child Abuse /Neglect cases and Juvenile offenders in Webb County, and was the First Chair in the Misdemeanor Section in Victoria County.  While working as a landman Michael White purchased his home on the Island in 2011, but due to the slow down in the oil business in 2015 went to work at Victoria County District Attorney’s Office.

Following his love of Corpus Christi Michael White joined the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office in 2017 was assigned to the 214^th District Court. Mr. White’s current position is the Liaison to the Corpus Christi Police Department and Felony Intake attorney.  He is responsible to the presentation of cases to the Grand Jury.

Michael White has been active in the Corpus Christi Community, serving as a Republican Precinct Chair, and helping form the Texas Longboard Surf Club, a 501(c) where he currently serves on the board as the Treasurer.
