I didn’t just grow up in Clarendon County—I was shaped by it. I walked the halls of our schools, from Walker-Gamble Elementary to East Clarendon. I saw firsthand what happens when a community pours into its children—and what happens when support is missing.

I was raised by a young mother who was determined to create a better life, not just for herself, but for me. And it was people in our school system—programs like the parenting center—that helped make that possible. They didn’t just educate students, they uplifted families. They changed lives. They changed _my_ life.

That’s why I’m running.

Because every child in District 8 deserves that same chance—to be seen, to be supported, and to succeed. Every parent deserves to feel connected to their child’s education. And every teacher deserves the tools and respect to do what they do best: shape the future.

This isn’t just about policies or meetings. This is about real people. Real families. Real outcomes.
