Showing Up for Utah Kids

In 2025, I saw firsthand that my students’ basic needs were not being met, they were going hungry in the classroom, and that school lunch debt was standing in the way of learning. Instead of waiting for someone else to fix the problem, I took action. I used my TikTok platform to raise awareness and funds, dancing to draw attention to the issue. Together, we raised more than $28,000 to help pay down school lunch debt for students across Utah.

That experience pushed me beyond my classroom and into advocacy. I’m running for State School Board in District 2 because every child deserves to feel safe, fed, and valued—and no student should carry shame or hunger into the classroom, or force a family to choose between groceries and their child’s education.
