Martinez for Murray City Council

It’s official! I have launched my campaign and I am running for public office. This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I feel I’ve been fortunate in my life and I want to play a role in making my community a better place. My name is Kat Martinez. I live in Murray with my husband, our three small children, and our dog. Our children attend our neighborhood public school. I serve on the school community council and am an active member of the PTA. I worked as a middle school teacher for three years, before opening a licensed family child care facility in Murray. I ran my child care business for 6 years. During that time I was a member of the Murray Chamber of Commerce and served as a board member for the Professional Family Child Care Association. I now work for the State of Utah training child care providers. I also serve on the Murray Arts Advisory Council. I absolutely love our Murray community and would be honored by the opportunity to serve our great city by being elected to the City Council.
