“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression;”
Isaiah 1:17
God has brought me to every major decision in my life. The decision to run for Justice of the Peace is no exception. When I was first asked to run, I thought they were crazy for asking me. Public office has never been an ambition of mine. Once it was explained why they wanted me to run, I surrendered to prayerful consideration and committed to do as God led me. So, here we are.
I am a devoted wife and mother. As of February 2022, Scott and I will have been married 19 years. I have always had a passion for adoption, and we have been truly blessed raising our daughter May, who is a sophomore at Granbury High School.
With both of us being raised in Christian families, it seemed only natural for Scott and I to be active and involved in our church. Currently, I sing in the traditional choir and on the modern praise team at Acton Baptist Church. We have also been members of the Gideons International since 2011.
I have worked as: a stay-at-home mom, fine jewelry designer and retail store owner, computer maintenance technician, oilfield lease operator, landlord and office clerk.
The life experience I bring from both my personal life and my professional life gives me the balance of compassion and decisiveness; along with an unbiased disposition, desired in a judiciary.
I believe our inalienable rights are precious. Anytime one must entrust their liberties to another, such as a judiciary, the one entrusted bears an enormous responsibility not to violate those rights. That is why the oath taken to the Constitutions is paramount.
“When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”
Proverbs 21:15
I am Michelle London and I ask for your support and your vote for me as your Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3 of Hood County.
