We Give Away Sneakers & Engage In Meaningful Conversations That Change Lives

The premise for the creation of Major Kicks for Kids is straightforward. It allows the founders to use their influence and resources to empower young boys and girls ages 5-17 in low-income communities. The data shows that if we uplift and encourage kids early it will leave lasting positive effects on their lives. The founder, Major Williams, can attest that love and assistance through family, coaches, mentors, and organizations similar to Major Kicks for Kids had a profound effect on his life. As an adult, he figured out the best way to engage with the youth was to form this fantastic platform that will build up and enrich kids’ lives through sneakers. He had been involved in community outreach, time, and money to various charitable causes, but through the MKFK foundation, he can push even further. Phase one began September 2018 through December 2018. MKFK raised over $12,000 and collected over 200 pairs of sneakers. In addition we gifted over 500 pairs of sneakers to local schools, our homeless community, The Salvation Army, Goodwill, and youth group homes statewide. In 2019 we partnered with Cleveland Elementary School & Kipp Scholar Academy in Los Angeles and Sister Thea Bowman & Saint Benedict the Moor in Pittsburgh, PA. We hope to do Los Angeles, Oakland, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Ohio, Miami, and Pittsburgh this year.
