Lisa Sánchez’s slogan,“Bringing Everyone to the Table,”reflects a lifetime of work breaking barriers and building bridges. As the first Afro-Latina elected to the Boise City Council, Lisa used her seat to connect City Hall to the diverse communities it serves. From her early career as a bilingual paralegal and civil rights investigator to her leadership as Council President Pro Tem—the first woman of color to hold that role—Lisa has centered inclusion, equity, and collaboration in everything she does. She’s championed renter protections, led a record-breaking Census outreach effort, and launched Boise’s first strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Lisa consistently creates space for voices historically left out of the conversation. Her slogan isn’t just a phrase—it’s a promise rooted in her lived experience, her mother’s example of finding “the third way,” and her belief that Boise is strongest when everyone has a seat at the table.
