Stacy Bernal 4 School Board

I have been running all sorts of races since 2008, but in 2022 I'm running in a completely new way: An elected position to the Ogden School Board!

I love the Ogden community and have served and volunteered with many organizations throughout the years, like the Junior League of Ogden and the Weber-Morgan Children's Justice Center. As a 2013 Weber State University non-traditional graduate, I am passionate about education and today serve on both the WSU Alumni Association and Ogden-Weber Technical College Foundation boards. I am also the Vice Chair of the Ogden Diversity Commission.

As the mother to a neurodiverse teenager (and a neurotypical fourth grader) in Ogden School District, I know firsthand the challenges faced by families living with disability. In 2018, I founded Awesome Autistic Ogden as a way to connect families and individuals to one another as well as to resources in the community. I hope to create ripple effects of kindness and inclusivity that positively impact Ogden for years to come.

I am running for Ogden School Board so I can continue these efforts in a meaningful way. The demographic makeup for OSD students shows that 79% are socioeconomically disadvantaged and 16% are disabled. I want to be an advocate and representative for these and ALL students in the district.
