Please join me on September 3 to celebrate Maryland’s wildlife and to support me to continue my work protecting the health and well-being of all Marylanders - human and animal - and the environment we all depend on.  🦋 🐢 🦀 

Last session, I introduced bills to:

• Protect pollinator habitats on the highways (passed!);
• Reduce plastic waste;
• Develop highway wildlife crossings to protect drivers and animals from wildlife-vehicle collisions;
• Protect Marylanders from deadly PFAS "forever chemicals" being used in pesticides sprayed on our food crops;
• Protect students from being arrested for types of behavior that are better addressed by established school accountability processes;
• Study creating a state-based universal healthcare system in Maryland;
• Examine the causes of and solutions to aggressive and reckless driving in Maryland;
• Study alternatives to the criminal justice system for addressing drug use and harm reduction;
• Authorize a tax credit to encourage the transition of gas stations to land uses that will benefit the community;
• Modernize the ballot petition process and make it more accessible to disabled voters;
• And more!

I support our unions, collective bargaining, and a living wage. My goals include increasing transportation choices and housing opportunities. I'm also working for climate justice and a livable future.

I don't solicit or accept donations from corporate special interests, including fossil fuel companies and the health insurance industry, so I depend on the support of regular folks like you.
