MEET STEPHEN

I'm not running for office, I'm running for you.

I am humbled and grateful to have received the majority vote in the Primary Election on March 1. I take your vote to heart and with the gravity it is given. It is both an honor and a great responsibility. Respectfully I'm asking for your support again in the Runoff Election on May 24. I thank you for your prayers, support, and your vote.

I am a true Christian Conservative Republican. I believe in strong traditional family values, Biblical principles, small government, and fiscal responsibility.

I bring over 50 years of life experience and common sense with me. I have been a teenage boy, a young husband struggling to keep food on the table, a father of 2, and a grandfather of 9. I am a neighbor, a friend, a coworker, a property owner, and a taxpayer. I am YOU. That is why I am running for you.

I married my Junior High sweetheart, Michelle, 32 years ago and she is still the love of my life. We have two amazing children. Our son is an Army veteran. He served 10 years as a Combat Medic. He now works in construction and has 3 beautiful children. Our daughter is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has 6 beautiful children of her own.

​I was born and raised in Graham, TX where I worked at Graham Regional Medical Center in Respiratory Therapy for over a decade. I also served on the volunteer Fire Department for many years. We moved to Granbury and have lived here for almost 20 years. I worked at Lake Granbury Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist for five years and for over 10 years now I have worked with Dr. Peter O'Carroll in neurology. During the past 2 years of COVID, I have filled in when Respiratory needed additional support. I also work as a Funeral Assistant and on-call support for Wiley Funeral Home. On nights and weekends, I receive calls from families who have lost loved ones. I support the family any way I can and then transfer their loved one to the Funeral Home.

​I have spent my life serving people in some of the lowest places in their lives. Illness, pain, and loss. It has blessed me beyond measure and my prayer has always been that I am a blessing to them.

I love this community and have received so much, for which I am truly grateful. In my work with Wiley Funeral Home, I have had the pleasure to work alongside each of the Justices of Peace in Hood County. I have been moved by their compassion. I spoke with my wife and, after much prayer and encouragement from each of the Justices, made the decision to serve with them.

As your next Justice of the Peace, I will work hard every day for YOU! This is YOUR court and I will ensure that the laws are upheld as they are written and never legislate from the bench, everyone will be treated fairly and with respect, and our Texas and US Constitution will be protected. My office will never forget that we work for YOU. You will find a compassionate, fair, and firm judge; a Conservative judge with strong character, high morals and integrity, and a servant’s heart; a full time justice who will be available to YOU. I will work everyday, not just Election Day, to continue to earn your respect, trust, support, and vote.

​All Justices must go through training and must continue that training every year. I am completely confident that I will be able to fulfill my responsibilities on Day 1.
