I am a National Board Certified Teacher with a Master’s Degree in School Administration. I have been a teacher for 20 years and I currently work as a Literacy Specialist.

Family Rights

I’m a father and I know how important it is to advocate for families’ rights. As parents, we are our children’s first, and best, teachers; I am a champion of our rights.

Great Schools

​

I’ll fight to reduce class sizes and eliminate the testing culture. I’ll work hard to keep our children safe.  Because I’m a teacher, I know what it takes to attract and retain great teachers: smaller classes, less paperwork, more respect, competitive salaries. Great teachers are key to providing a world-class education for our children.

Communication

As a state school board member, I commit to seeking out the perspectives of all members of our community. My promise to you is transparent communication. I want to hear and represent the needs of District 11. I want to make sure you know what the state school board is doing and how that will affect our schools.

Public Servant

I’m an Army veteran.  I am committed to serving my country and my community; it’s how I’ve spent my life.  I’m proud of my military service. I’m proud to serve my community as a teacher. I will be proud to serve you as a member of the Utah State Board of Education.
