## About

I am a **National Board Certified Teacher** with a **Master’s Degree in School Administration**. I have been a teacher for 20 years and I currently work as a **Literacy Specialist.**

**Family Rights**

I’m a father and I know how important it is to advocate for families’ rights. **As parents, we are our children’s first, and best, teachers; I am a champion of our rights.**

**Great Schools**

I’ll fight to reduce class sizes and eliminate the testing culture. I’ll work hard to keep our children safe.  **Because I’m a teacher, I know what it takes to attract and retain great teachers: smaller classes, less paperwork, more respect, competitive salaries.** Great teachers are key to providing a world-class education for our children.

**Communication**

As a state school board member, I commit to seeking out the perspectives of all members of our community. **My promise to you is transparent communication. I want to hear and represent the needs of District 11.** I want to make sure you know what the state school board is doing and how that will affect our schools.

**Public Servant**

I’m an Army veteran.  **I am committed to serving my country and my community; it’s how I’ve spent my life.**  I’m proud of my military service. I’m proud to serve my community as a teacher. I will be proud to serve you as a member of the Utah State Board of Education.

**Utah’s families and educators, working together to create a great education system for Utah’s children.**
