Troy Mason is a native of Utah, born and raised in West Jordan and a graduate of West Jordan High School. After graduation, Troy went on to serve in the US Air Force. Upon completing his service, Troy returned home to Utah and has been a resident of Draper for the past 18 years. Troy is a small business owner in Draper with 24 other business locations across the Wasatch Front and throughout Utah. As an active participant in the Draper community, Troy has served twice as a State Delegate. He has been actively involved as an assistant tennis coach for the Juan Diego Catholic High School Tennis team and donated funds to help build the Tennis Courts at Juan Diego HS. Troy, through his business, has been a strong advocate and raised funds for local charities including the Draper City Police department, Primary Children’s Hospital, Quarters for Christmas, Toys for Tots, MADD, and various other charities. Troy has made the decision to run for City Council in hopes of giving other small business owners a voice. Troy believes in maintaining the integrity of the small town feel of Draper and being smart about growth, strategic planning, and no tax increases. An advocate of open space, he wants to keep the parks and trails safe for all to enjoy. Troy and his wife, Hayley, have five daughters, 3 graduates of Juan Diego Catholic High School, 1 graduate of Corner Canyon High School and 1 graduate of Brighton High School. During the summer months it’s common to find Troy at the Draper amphitheater or at a concert in the park where he loves to enjoy live music. Troy enjoys, Traveling, taking leisurely rides on his Harley, hiking the trails of Draper with his wife, or flying high above the beautiful Utah mountains where he can live out his true passion of aviation.
