As a child, I was diagnosed with a profound stutter that paralyzed my ability to speak and altered how I dealt with life. I believed that my voice would never be fully heard because of this deficiency.

I grew to understand and appreciate my disability and worked past its limitations to use my voice for those who felt unheard.

Today, I continue to fight for the underdog and speak truth to power.

As a native New Yorker, I understand the needs of our state and I want our voices to be heard in Washington, DC.
